Sara is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany at the University of Wyoming. Her primary research blends dendroecological techniques with spatially resolved community ecology to understand how mechanisms of individual tree survival give rise to forest change, particularly in response to climate and climate-altered disturbance regimes. Dr. Germain completed her PhD at Utah State University in 2022, and was a postdoctoral research associate at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies from 2022-2023.
Tucker is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management at the University of Wyoming. He utilizes a combination of field-based longitudinal datasets, remote sensing, and process-based simulation models to study how climate, land use, and disturbance processes are shaping temperate forest landscapes of western North America. Dr. Furniss completed his PhD at Utah State University in 2021 and was a postdoctoral research fellow with the Pacific Northwest Research Station from 2020-2023.
